Tell us about your business and what you have been up to lately?
Splendour Event solutions is a family run business, which in the last two years, has gradually experienced success and growth within events. This has been brought about by our meticulous venue dressing ideas, planning and logistical management services that we offer our clients during their functions. Splendour Events caters for a range of functions, which include intimate celebrations such as Weddings, Birthday parties and Christenings, to themed Corporate Events and Dinner Galas for hundreds. We are passionate and dedicated to creating a truly unique experience and therefore pride ourselves on our ability to listen to your needs and delivering a bespoke and truly memorable day for you and your guests.
Within the last couple of months, we have managed to ‘wow’ and please four couples on their wedding day, as they saw the wonderful creation of their, and our ideas unravel before them and how every aspect of their treasured day came together. Moments like this inspire our creations and we believe our success is in the work we deliver, and the magical moments we share with our clients.
What makes you different from other similar businesses in the area?
Splendour Events offers a range of services, which are designed and tailored for your special event from start to finish. We take enormous pride in providing an efficient service to all our clients with all our event specifications tailored to suit your own requirements. We priorities and dedicate a great deal of time and planning to bring every magical aspect together.
What flexibility does being an independent business give you over a national chain / business?
Being an independent business, all our bespoke ideas and inspired creations can be tried, tested and implemented without any approval delays which could be encountered within national chain businesses. We therefore can play around with our creativity, a process that is interactive for both our clients and us.
What do you feel is the biggest challenge for small businesses at the moment?
Cash flow and breaking the monopolies that have been enjoyed by the big corporate and national companies, who tend to offer standardized and specific services.
Looking back, which piece of advice would you give to somebody setting up their own business today?
Don’t wait until everything is perfect to get started, because then you’ll never start. Work hard and persistence it will pay off.
What part does Social Media play in your business?
It plays a major role within our business. I have just started getting into grasp with it and hope; I can keep up with it.

In an ideal world What major improvement would you like to see happen in Stretford?
Would like to have good restaurants/ take away and pubs open around the area. Probably the local council help business that would like to open a shop unit, maybe this could help fill up the empty units in the Stretford Mall.
